The St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation Board has nine directors, each of whom serves a three-year term on a staggered basis — that is, one-third of the members’ terms expire each year. The board has traditionally included at least one member from the medical staff of the hospital. Other candidates are nominated to maintain a cross-section of interests, skills and experience. They might contribute management and financial ability, experience with health care issues or knowledge of the community.
